Some additional Information
I came from a small town in Brazil called Bom Jardim, translated to English it is called “Good Garden”, at that time when I was growing up in Bom Jardim we could only study through high school because there was not a college there. That circumstance forced me to move from my town and find a place that could help me gain and develop my educational and professional side. I fought hard to achieve my education, and I am still working hard to finish this degree in a second language.
I love to study and expand my intellectual capacities. Most importantly, when I was in college, I discovered what I really wanted. I wanted to study education, about the process of learning, how learning occurs because I know that the education and learning process has the power to transform a person’s life and through education, man can develop his fantastic, artistic, and intellectual abilities, allowing him to understand his nature, psychological, and social environment, both past, and present.
In my free time, I like to hike, fish, bike, read books, write books, do volunteer work, I love to take pictures. I also like to motivate people to achieve their goals because it is one of my favorite things to do. I love to travel, before dying, one of my many goals is to travel around the world with my family and see God’s beautiful creations.
Spiritual Life
Since I was a child, I have been looking for the purpose of my life. When I was 5 years old, I started asking questions like “why I am here on earth? What’s the purpose of this life? Who created the World? Who created the people? My grandmother who raised me is a Catholic person, she told me that God created everything. Then I started asking who is God? Why did God create us? When I was 7 years old I gained a Holy Bible in my school, I started reading about God and his son Jesus Christ, I just remember how I felt, my feelings about Jesus’s life, since that time I felt Jesus close to me, guiding me and helping me in my life. I felt his love. When I was 14 years old, I was looking for a place to raise my future family, after praying I decided to be baptized in the LDS church. Learning about my Savior Jesus Christ is helping me throughout my life, helping me recognize my weakness and how much I need him in my life.
I like to know that Jesus spent his entire life serving others, this knowledge helps me to understand that we should do the same, take care of our neighbor. I believe it is important to know about him, but it is better to do like him, doing like he did we are in the right way, He always says “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6 The King James Version). Following him, I feel I’m in the right way to fulfill my life, I feel the truth and I feel alive, I will have more and more life with Him.
